So finally I'm able to repay the compliment and feature some of the wonderful artists that I have enjoyed here on da.:excited: I shall most likely update them every two weeks or so.
Firstly I'd like to show some of Phil's awesome work. Thanks so much for helping me with this Phil! It's most appreciated.

Eco friendly search engine.

Journal Entry: Sat Dec 12, 2009, 11:23 PM

I never actually thought about search engines having an impact on the planet until I saw this link from :iconkkool:'s journal. Take a look for yourself and do something to save the rainforest in the Amazon without having to spend any money. I think it's very cool and have installed mine already. Even if you don't think that CO2 is a problem, you have to know that rainforests are imperative for our survival and this is a great way to help preserve them.

Here's the link, [link] Click on 'how it works' and after a couple of minutes of information it tells you how to install it.

Now another little bit of info that you might be interested in is the fact that there is a mineral in mobile phones that can only be found in the Congo in Africa. In order to mine for this mineral, many gorillas are being killed in the process. In Australia there are twice as many mobile phones as there are people. So people each time you get a new phone, recycle your old ones and help save both the planets resources and hopefully some gorillas at the same time. The more people recycle their phones, the less mining is needed for this mineral.
Thanks for looking and hope you all are having a great weekend!

I finally did it...I bought a 3 month subscription and discovered that it's really cheap at the moment! The only problem now is that I don't really know what I'm doing with it so if anyone could please give me some tips to put me in the right direction, I would be extremely grateful!! I found out how to find journal skins but don't know if I have done it right or not yet. I would also love to do some features of your wonderful art as well to return the favour. So many wonderful images to pick from, I will have to do features for forever in order to show them all off!!
Update on Luke's car...funny how bad luck can also have some good luck sprinkled in with it! A friend of ours rolled his car about 2 years ago and the only things that weren't damaged besides the motor were the things that are needed for Luke's car, it's even the same colour! This guy is also a phenomenal car mechanic as well and is fixing it for us for a fraction of the cost. The fine came today and is under $300 so that is a relief as well. We'll have the car back on Friday, thank god!!
Ummm, not much else to say...haven't been out much, the weather has been cold though I do hope to upload some photos soon.

Thankyou so much everyone who has faved recently or come by for a look.
Stay well everyone and hope the season is getting you into the spirit.:blowkiss::hug:

Wacom woes amongst others!

Yes my tablet is chucking a hissy fit. Every time I open ps it says that there is a problem with my tablet driver and to reboot or update the driver. Which I did both and it's still doing it. So I decided to ignore that and just see if the tablet would work. It did for about five mins and then suddenly started making new layers all by itself. Like 640 layers in about 5 seconds!!!! I promptly closed ps and tried to find out some info from the Wacom website but that was no help cos the Asia/Pacific website doesn't really have a help page. I did check in my program files and found a toll free number to try but it was engaged all afternoon so will have to try again tomorrow. A fitting end to a strange week. Last weekend our 20,000 gallon water tank was full on Friday. It pelted down all night. On Saturday there was no water and the pump was still running. Allan was away at work and we had no water. After many phone conversations and a lot of going up and down the hill and trying all sorts of things I couldn't find why. It turned out that one of the old fittings from the pump had split and all the water went through the shed and out onto the lawn. So Allan spent all Sunday morning finding it and fixing it, so he got no sleep before we had to go to a wedding that afternoon. He'd driven 12 hours from just outside Sydney. We were told to get there an hour early so we would be able to get a park, which we did. There was nowhere to sit so we stood around outside to wait and they were running a bit late which is normal and you have to expect that. But then after the ceremony we were told we had a two hour wait before we could go inside for the dinner and still nowhere to sit down. We all ended up wandering up the road to find a pub to get a drink and to sit down. The first one didn't open till 5pm so we had to go further to find another one. By now my feet were screaming at me and I could barely make it down the road. This is my punishment for wearing ugg boots all year!:giggle: I never wear high heels except on such occasions and I havent been to a wedding in three years!
On the way back it started raining and we just made it back before getting drenched. We were then let inside but were told to go past the tables and chairs to the dance floor for refreshments while yet more photos were taken of the cutting of the cake. By now Allan was starting to look white. We waited another hour and then ended up having to leave as there was no sign of us sitting down for our meal and Allan was starting to look worse and my feet were screaming again. We got some seafood on the way home and ate it in the car barefoot! I was dissappointed that it wasn't organized a bit better. It was in a very posh historic building in the city called Ayers House. It was a shame, I was looking forward to the meal and the company but oh well!
Then on Monday my son Luke was in a car accident on his way home from work. He wasn't hurt at all, thank God! But the car is damaged from him rear ending someone after they rear ended the person in front of them. It's actually just lucky that an off duty cop witnessed it so that the car in the middle couldn't blame my son by saying that he pushed him into the front car. The problem though is that we'll have to pay the damage to the guys car and we've been told by a friend that it could be as much as $5,000 :faint: Luke has some money in the bank but he's only a second year apprentice so he doesn't get all that much pay yet. So we have to pay for his fine, don't know how much that will be yet and also to get his car fixed along with the damage to the other cars rear. Our only cheaper way out maybe is if the other guys car is written off. Hopefully it will be the last kick in the teeth we have this year. Luke has had to drive Allan's car to work, he can't get there any other way, it's an hours drive as it is. And Allan has had to get a lift home with whoever he can and I don't know how he's even going to get to work next week. A friend is fixing Luke's car this week so hopefully we'll have our car back by next weekend! Allan gets his tax refund next week hopefully but that's only around $3,ooo even though he paid nearly $20,000 in tax this year. Can you believe it, if you have an Engel fridge in your car to keep your food in for the trip to work, (this is if your an interstate driver and yes it actually specifies that it has to be an Engel fridge!!! which by the way are $1299 on special for christmas...so cheap, don't know why we all don't have one!)anyway if you have one in your car then you can claim for the petrol to drive to work!!! WTF??????? You have to have a goddammed ENGEL fridge in your car before you can claim for petrol?????? Who thinks up this crap...oh wait it is after all the tax department of the GOVERNMENT!!!! Yeah cos they can all afford to have an ENGEL fridge in thier cars!!!
And here I was thinking that we were just seeing the light at the end of the tunnel that has been this horrible year and that we could maybe put aside a few bucks to go out for our 25th anniversary on the 6th of January. Silly me!!! I should have realized that the year from hell wasn't quite over yet!
Okay enough of that!! Sorry for my own little hissy fit! Despite all this I am actually a little excited about christmas. I can't wait to give my kids their presents this year even if there won't be as many as planned now. And I am finally starting my very own organic veggie patch out in the paddock. The soil there is fantastic, nice and black and sandy so it shouldn't take much to get it all going. I have a wonderful little jewel of a book about companion growing to get me started and I've downloaded some info on growing by the moon too.
I do so hope that everyone else is well and happy and getting into the festive mood. And I hope your luck is better than ours at the moment!! Cheers everyone and here's to better fortune next year!:blowkiss:

Thankyou everyone!!!
