Just as the last rays of golden sunlight filtered down through the canopy, Desiree and Shadow stumbled upon an intriguing sight amongst the mossy roots of a tree. A golden glow emmited from within the flotsam of leaf litter and carefully Desiree moved the litter to see what lay beneath. To her surprise what she found was a tiny unicorn faerie, it's wings fluttering weakly with fatigue. In amazement she stared, these creatures were said to be long gone from the forest and she had thought them to be but a myth. Gingerly she scooped it up and held it carefully while Shadow moved quietly beside her for a closer look.
