Description
Thorin yawned loudly and shifted his weight, relishing the soft squish of snow that melted slightly beneath his giant paws. Asha sighed and closed her eyes, a slight smile playing upon her face. She imagined the soft touch of Abrid's lips upon hers and the warmth of his skin as he held her close. A shiver of anticipation ran through her.
It was winter solstice, the night they had pledged to meet on this very spot on the northernmost point of the headland that jutted out into the Arctic Sea. She could sense his closeness and knew it wouldn't be long now...
I have spent endless hours on this and used 99 layers in ps. The lion was painted using a reference from some random site that I can't remember the name of now and so was the sky and snow. The fur took forever to do as did the snow! I never thought I was going to get it right but I'm happy with it now. Hope you like it and do please full view.

Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactSo i am like lost for words on how to describe this because it is just wonderful. To be honest, i had my breath taken away on this one. The layering is good and so is the shading and the lighting. I like the way the snow as well as the sky is. The moon provides and excellent background to this as well as with the sky and the clouds that are there. The trees look pretty good and the lion is awesome so it looks like all those hours spent on this made it come out awesome. Keep up the good work.
